At the foot of the Lofer and Leogang Mountains and on the foothills of Steinernes Meer, over the course of the centuries, nature has created natural monuments. During your time here with us in Salzburger Saalachtal explore the beauty and discover the unbridled power of the element of water and the forces of nature. Just 2 kilometres from one another, 'Saalachtaler Natural Wonders' provide adventure, fun and excitement for all the family. These natural monuments combine perfectly with a bike tour on the Tauern Cycle Path.
From the last Ice Age, the Ödenbach burrowed deep into the cliffs between the two holiday towns of St. Martin and Weißbach. This resulted in the 400 metre long and 80 metre deep Vorderkaserklamm. The exciting path through the gorge proceeds over 51 footbridges and 35 stairways. Before the gorge is the Vorderkaser, a natural swimming area, with its swimming pond, just perfect for family excursions.
Spanning 51 kilometres, Lamprechtshöhle is one of the biggest caves in Europe and the biggest walk-through cave in the world! One section is accessible for those who have an interest. You can hike some 700 metres into the interior of the mountain. Laprechtshöhle is perfect as a bad weather option too.
Like Vorderkaserklamm, Seisenbergklamm, came about at the end of the last Ice Age. Thanks to its location at the foot of 'Naturpark Weißbach', the one-hour guided tour is an ideal start for numerous hikes. Guided tours through the gorge with the gorge 'spirit' are a really special experience, especially for families and children.
